Where to buy brand new laptop

i5 or i7 processor, preferably i7 if there is a little difference then the memory is 8 GB to 16GB. Just asking if there are such specs, what brand and how much. Need 2 units, for work from home. Preferably brand new.

For work-from-home tasks such as office work, web browsing, Zoom/Google Meet meetings, Microsoft Office applications, light AI tools, and general multitasking, I would recommend 16 GB RAM. In 2026, buying a laptop with only 8 GB RAM is not advisable unless your budget is extremely limited.

A solid option is:

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Business Laptop

  • 15.6" Full HD Touchscreen
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5825U Processor
  • 16 GB RAM
  • 512 GB SSD
  • Wi-Fi 6
  • Windows 11 Home

If your budget allows it, I'd skip the usual Ryzen 5/i5 office laptops and go straight for the Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-52-778V. The specs are honestly excellent for the money:

  • Intel Core i7-13620H (10 cores / 16 threads)
  • RTX 5050 8GB dedicated graphics
  • 16GB RAM
  • 512GB NVMe SSD
  • 15.6" IPS 165Hz display

It will absolutely crush WFH tasks, Zoom, Teams, Excel, Chrome with 50 tabs, programming, Photoshop, video editing, and gaming after work. The RAM and SSD are upgradeable too.

The only reason NOT to buy it is if the laptop will be used purely for office work. In that case you're paying extra for an RTX 5050 that may never get used.

If the user also games, studies engineering/IT, edits videos, does CAD, AI work, or wants a laptop that will still feel fast 4–5 years from now, this is a very solid choice. The RTX 5050 model delivers strong 1080p gaming performance and the 165Hz screen is a big plus.

Downsides:

  • Fan noise gets loud under load.
  • Runs warm when gaming.
  • Battery life is average compared to modern ultrabooks.
  • Screen is fast but not color-accurate enough for professional creative work.

For a "buy once, use for years" recommendation, I'd give it 9/10.

If it's around ₱60k–₱65k, I'd recommend it. If it starts getting close to ₱70k+, I'd also compare it against Lenovo LOQ and ASUS TUF models before pulling the trigger.

As a one-line recommendation:

Recommended. The i7-13620H + RTX 5050 combo is far more future-proof than a typical Aspire or Vivobook, and it gives you gaming and productivity headroom for years.

For work-from-home, I recommend buying 2 brand-new laptops with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. A Core i5 is sufficient for most office work, Zoom, browsing, and multitasking. If the price difference is reasonable, go for a Core i7. Good brands are Dell, HP, and ThinkPad. Budget approximately $600–$900 per unit for an i5 and $850–$1,200+ per unit for an i7. For 2 laptops, expect a total budget of roughly $1,200–$1,800 (i5) or $1,700–$2,400+ (i7).
