New Build
ok, so despite memory prices, my rig is long in the tooth. Time to start building again. I want to start with the MB. I'm preferential to MSI. my last two rigs were both MSI builds and I am in love. I want to start with the MB because I want to base the looks of the build on the MB. Intel or AMD, doesn't matter to me. Just curious as to whats out there and what other people might think looks cool.

MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi
Hey MikeC, since you love MSI and want a board that sets the visual tone, go with the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi.
Its matte black finishes and carbon textures give you a great stealth baseline. You can match it with a tinted glass case and set the RGB lights to a clean solid color like ice blue or amber to make the components pop.
More importantly, it leaves you about $1,500 of your budget to buy a powerful CPU and GPU, whereas flagship boards like the Godlike will completely drain your wallet. It's actually on sale on Newegg right now too.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!
Memory prices are sky‑high right now due to “RAMmageddon,” so it’s smart to start your build with the motherboard instead of rushing into RAM. Since you love MSI, you’ll be happy to know they’ve got some gorgeous boards that set the tone for a build both in looks and performance. With your budget, you can comfortably grab a premium MSI board like the MEG X870E GODLIKE, which has killer aesthetics, PCIe 5.0 support, and rock‑solid VRMs for overclocking. That leaves plenty of room for a powerful CPU and GPU combo while you wait for memory prices to settle. The motherboard really anchors the whole rig, both visually and technically, so picking it first makes sense. In short, you’re future‑proofing your build and making sure it looks as good as it runs.
