I'd highly recommend the Synology 4-bay DiskStation DS925+
It's within your budget(639$), leaving you plenty of room to pick up some high-quality NAS-grade hard drives. The best thing about this is Synology’s operating system , it’s incredibly intuitive, making it easy to set up your own private cloud or media server without needing much knowledge. It’s a 4-bay unit, so you will be able to expand your storage as your library grows, making it a much better long term budget play compared to a cheaper 2-bay unit alternative.
