Seagate Expansion portable stkm1000400
Would love to recommend this model from Seagate. I have been using Seagate harddisk for 4 years and it's pretty good. I do have a suggestion, since you just need the disk for storing data I would recommend you buy a HDD instead of an SSD. You will get a 2tb HDD for the price of 1tb SSD. Transfer speed might be a bit slow but I think getting an extra Terabyte of storage would be more useful.
I have linked the 1tb one anyways. Might be cheaper on Amazon cuz it was for me in my region.
Hope this Helps✌🏼
BIPRA S3 1TB Portable External Hard Drive
I’d recommend the BIPRA S3 1TB Portable External Hard Drive. It offers 1TB of storage in a compact portable design and uses USB 3.0, making it a practical option for storing and transferring photos. At under $100 before shipping, it also fits your budget while providing a good balance of storage, portability, and affordability.
Seagate One Touch 1TB External HDD
The biggest reason I’d buy it
For photos that you don’t want to lose, the combination of Seagate’s established storage hardware + easy backup tools + Rescue Data Recovery Services makes it more reassuring than buying a random cheap external HDD.
I’d recommend you to check for different websites for prices, it is available under 100$ in a few websites like best buy etc. There is one i have at my work which i use, with my personal experience i’d suggest you to buy this.
Best pick of this month.
My pick: WD My Passport 1TB — typically $54–65 at retail, well under your $100 cap. USB 3.0/3.2, plug-and-play, no drivers needed on Windows or Mac, and it includes WD Backup software with optional password protection + 256-bit AES hardware encryption, which is genuinely useful for photo archives you don't want casually browsed if the drive is lost.
2nd pick: Seagate One Touch 1TB (or the cheaper Seagate Expansion Portable) — usually $50–70, includes 1–2 years of Rescue Data Recovery Services on some bundles, meaning if the drive fails Seagate will attempt recovery.

Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB — Reliable Pick (Over Budget, Exp
If you're mainly looking for a simple, portable way to store your photos, I do recommend the Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB. It's compact, uses USB 3.0 for fast transfers, and works right out of the box with drag-and-drop saving no extra software needed. It's compatible with Windows, Mac, and ChromeOS. Seagate lists this model at around $69.99 MSRP (often found cheaper, around $40–60 on sale), which fits comfortably within your $100 budget. For important photos, I'd still suggest keeping a second backup rather than relying on a single drive.
