Liquid Cooler

Hi, I am looking to upgrade the CPU cooler in my rig. I want to go liquid but i don't know where to start and I also aren't sure what i want exactly. So, any recommendations and experience with them is appreciated. My temps are ok... I just want more stable temps than the stock cooler offers.

Recommendation #1

1. The Performance King: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360

Arctic is legendary for performance-first designs. The "III Pro" model features a thicker radiator than standard AIOs and a specialized VRM fan on the pump block to cool the components around your CPU.

Best For: Maximum thermal stability and quiet operation.

Why it's great: It consistently tops the charts for noise-normalized performance.

Price: ~$125.00

2. The Best Value: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Core

If you want a reliable entry into liquid cooling without spending $150+, this is the "best-buy" choice. It uses a redesigned dual-chamber pump that improves flow and pressure compared to older stock-replacement models.

Best For: Budget-conscious builders wanting a massive upgrade from stock.

Why it's great: Simple installation and solid reliability for the price.

Price: ~$89.99

3. The Premium Aesthetic: TRYX Panorama SE 360 ARGB

If the budget allows for a "flex," this cooler features a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED curved screen on the pump. It’s powered by Asetek technology (the industry standard for AIO pumps), so it has the performance to match its looks.

Best For: High-end rigs where aesthetics and system monitoring are priorities.

Why it's great: You can display real-time temps or GIFs directly on the pump.

Price: ~$279.99

Those all look great. Will they fit my MAG Forge 112R case? I think they will. But I’m not sure.

I have three recommendations depending on your style. For the absolute best performance-to-price ratio, the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 is a cooling beast that even chills your motherboard components , would cost around 110-130$; another option would be Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Core. It is a reliable, budget-friendly ,would cost around 80-90$; and if you really want to turn your PC into a showpiece, the NZXT Kraken Elite 360 lets you put custom GIFs or stats right on the pump’s LCD screen. Just double check that your case can fit a 360mm radiator before you pull the trigger, and you'll be set for a much cooler and significantly quieter experience, it would cost around 260$.

NZXT Kraken Elite 240 RGB

1. The Display (The Centerpiece)

The primary reason to choose the "Elite" over the standard Kraken is the screen.

  • Size & Tech: A 2.72-inch circular IPS LCD (much larger and clearer than the 1.54-inch screen on the non-Elite).
  • Resolution: 640 x 640 px with a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate.
  • Customization: Use NZXT CAM to display uploaded GIFs, real-time CPU/GPU temperatures, or even your current Spotify track info.

2. Cooling Performance

  • NZXT Turbine Pump: This custom pump provides roughly 10% better thermal performance than previous Asetek generations. It’s designed to handle the "spiky" temperatures of modern high-end CPUs.
  • Radiator: 240mm Aluminum (Dimensions: 281 x 120 x 27 mm).
  • Fans: Comes with two F120P Static Pressure fans (non-RGB version) or F240 RGB Core fans (RGB version). These fans are designed to push air through the dense fins of the radiator efficiently.
  • Noise Level: Very quiet, maxing out around 30 dBA (roughly the sound of a whisper).

3. Build & Compatibility

  • Tubing: 400mm ultra-low evaporation rubber with premium nylon braiding to prevent leaks over its 5+ year lifespan.
  • Sockets: Fully compatible with Intel LGA 1851 / 1700 and AMD AM5 / AM4.
  • Warranty: 6 Years (Industry-leading).

First thing: your case **MSI MAG Forge 112R PC Case only officially supports up to a 240mm radiator (front or top).
So the “best cooler” for you is NOT 360mm (even if some people force-fit it, it’s not recommended).

Best overall (for your case)

This is the safest and most balanced pick:

  • Strong cooling for most CPUs (Ryzen 5/7, i5/i7)
  • Better reliability than older MSI 240R series
  • Fits perfectly in your case (top or front)

👉 If you want plug-and-play + no headache, go with this.

Best Overall Recommendation
Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360

If your goal is more stable temperatures, this is one of the best options. The 360mm radiator helps keep temps consistent under load while staying relatively quiet.

Safe Midrange Option:
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core

A solid upgrade from a stock cooler. A 240mm AIO is usually enough for most CPUs, giving you more stable temps and quieter performance without needing a large case.

Premium Pick:
NZXT Kraken 360

If you want both strong cooling and clean aesthetics, this is a great choice. The 360mm radiator provides very stable temps, especially during longer workloads.
